I'm very excited to start working for Judge Leventhal. Since I will have greater responsibilities than just making copies and getting coffee, I'm sure it will be a great experience. I hope to learn about judging in general, and especially about how the dangerous and somewhat addictive field of domestic violence is handled. If I perform well enough, I might even be able to work for Judge Leventhal in the future, which can be helpful since I intend to pursue a career in law. Since it is a small office, I hope I don't piss anyone off.

Responsibilities: compile resources for the participants of the many different trips that the company sponsors, run errands, make phone calls, organize office
My primary reason for doing this internship to give something back to the organization, which sent me to China. Since the organization is switching hands come September, I want to see if i can help make the transition go smoothly. It prompted a genuine interest in China for me, and provided me with a really amazing summer, and now knowing the value of my experience, I want to be able to make sure others can have the same opportunity. I am also excited to work under Hazel, because she has pretty much helped the organization survive by herself for the past few years. It is hard to keep a non-profit alive, and her knowledge may help me in the future, because I intend to continue my support of various breast cancer research groups. |
